Abigail

I am a counseling intern studying at the University of Saint Mary. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where every individual feels heard, valued, and understood. I believe that each person’s experiences are unique, and I strive to meet clients where they are while supporting them through whatever challenges life may bring.

I bring five years of experience in foster care case management, where I developed a deep understanding of the impact that trauma can have on individuals and families. My work has particularly shaped my passion for understanding childhood trauma and its lasting effects, while also recognizing the ways generational and secondary trauma can influence a person’s emotional well-being and relationships.

Outside of work, I spend my time loving on my pups, working on needlepoint projects, reading a good book, and spending quality time with my friends and family.

As I continue growing as a counselor, my goal is to walk alongside clients with empathy, curiosity, and compassion as they navigate their experiences, discover their strengths, and work toward meaningful change.

• I am a Counseling Intern in Training, currently completing my degree at the University of St Mary’s. Under the supervision of Eddie Barnett, LPC 2020025030 (MO), LPC 3660 (KS), I am currently accepting new clients, ages 13 and up, via Telehealth or in-person.

Fees

• My rate is $30–$60 per 50-minute session. Sliding scale availability is based on current openings, with rates calculated as approximately 0.1% of total annual household income.
